Harry Lester is one of 5 children born to William Henry Harrison Wilcox and his first wife, Emily Wilcox. He also had 3 half siblings (Jesse, Mabel and Foster) when his father married his second wife, Martha Frances Price.

Harry's father, William H.H. Wilcox (or W.H.H. Wilcox) has a very colorful personal history and family tree. William served the Union Army during the Civil War and was one of the 109 escapees from the infamous Libby Prison (http://bigfamilytree.weebly.com/wilcox-stories.html).

Through his father, Harry Wilcox is a descendant of several Revolutionary War veterans, including Capt. George Herkimer (sometimes referred to as Colonel), who with his more famous brother, General Nicholas Herkimer , fought in the Revolutionary War. Harry also is related to George I. Eacker (his great-grandfather's brother), who shot Alexander Hamilton's son, Philip, in a duel. (read more about the Eacker family here: http://bigfamilytree.weebly.com/eackereaker-family.html)

Not much is known yet about Harry Lester Wilcox. According to NY Marriage Registers on Familysearch.org, he married a Jennie Mullen and had four children, Percy Chappell and Henry Lester (who both died as infants) and Gladys and Margery. He is buried with his two infant sons and his mother and grandparents, but not sure yet where his wife is buried.
