ANDERSON, S.C. -- Mr. Grover G. Roberson, 71, formerly of Valley, died Thursday, February 25, at Anderson Memorial Hospital in Anderson S. C.
Graveside services were held Saturday February 27, at 4 p.m. at Shawmut Cemetery in Lanett with Dr. Jerome King officiating.
Mr. Roberson is survived by his wife, Charlene D. Roberson of Anderson, S.C., two daughters, Brenda Masters and Kay Embley both of Anderson, S.C.,; one son, Roy Roberson of Opelika; one sister, Adella Cole of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Marvin Roberson of Lanett; and seven grandchildren.
Born February 26, 1921, in Lanett, Mr. Roerson was a retired employee of West Point Pepperell's Lanett and Carter Mills. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army and been awarded the Purple Heart.
The family respectfully decliens the gift of flowers and asks that memorial be made to the American Heart Association or one's favorite charity in memory of Mr. Roberson.
