He was born Oct. 8, 1934, at Cox's Mill's, the son of the late Minter G. and Viola Mae Prunty.

Don was a graduate of Troy High School, attended Glenville State College and served two years in the United States Army. He was a former employee of B&O Railroad and retired from E.I. He was a member of South Parkersburg Baptist Church and was an ordained Deacon for 48 years, member of the South Parkersburg Choir and Men's Choir, Association of Retired Men's Group and Good Samaritan Sunday School Class. He enjoyed his grandchildren, loved to travel, hunt and camp. He loved to go on Mission Trips with the youth. He also volunteered many hours to the West Virginia Baptist Convention, the Parchment Valley Conference Center in Ripley, W.Va., and Meals for One with the Salvation Army.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Geraldine N. Jr. of Middlefield, Ohio, and a twin, Ronald of Amhurst, Mass; and two sisters, Mary Dutton and Marie Harasyn, both of Camden, S.C.
