Evelyn W. Prunty Cooper, 76, of Burnsville, died April 23, 1992 follow an extended illness.
She was born in Gilmer County, a daughter of the late Minter and Viola Huckert Prunty. She was retired from Cheverlot-Parma in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a member of the Pythias Sisters of Ohio and a member of the Troy United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Alford of Burnsville; seven brothers, Ardeph D. Prunty of Troy, Otho J. Prunty of Middlefield, Ohio; Rev Holbert L. Prunty of Richwood, Minter J Prunty of Fairport Harbor Ohio, Donald Prunty of Parkersburg, Ronald Prunty of Amhurst, Massachusetts, Richard Prunty of Washington, West Virginia; four sisters, Gwen Stout of Medina, Ohio; Mary Dutton of Geneva, Ohio; Maxine McCullough of Columbus, South Carolina; Maric Harasyn of Spencer, Ohio; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services were held Sunday, April 26, at Spurgeon-Ellyson Mortuary, with Rev. Holbert Prunty officiating. Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Gardens, Parkersburg.
