RANDLEMAN, NC - Joseph Frank Millikan, 85, died Sunday, August 15, 2010 at his home.
Mr. Millikan was born December 1, 1924, the son of Noah Worth and Vallie Kirkman Millikan.
Frank was a native of Randolph County and a Navy Veteran of WWII.
He coached baseball with the Randleman and Level Cross Little Leagues for many years.
He was part owner/operator of Frank and Larry's Restaurant.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Capps Millikan; sons, Joseph Frank Millikan (Jean) of Randleman, Bernard Worth "Bernie" Millikan of Randleman, Charles Ray "Blue" Millikan (Cathy) of Randleman; stepsons, James Kellam of Randleman, Kelly Kellam of Randleman, Todd Kellam of Asheboro; stepdaughter, Sandy R. Oldham of Greensboro; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Joe Tom "Tommy" Millikan of Randleman.
The funeral was Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 11 am with a graveside service at Randolph Memorial Park, with Rev. Matthew Youngblood and George Stanton officiating. Military honors were given by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
