S/o Phillip & Catherine Miller Ogline. Grandson of Yost Joseph & Mary MILLER from Bedford County, Johann Jacob Ogline born in Holland who'd lived in several different Pennsylvania Counties.

HUSBAND & FATHER: Married the former Elizabeth Emert, d/o Christian & Catherine Emert. Farmer and parents of 10 CHILDREN. The family's ten acre farm and log cabin situated in Friedens, Somerset County along the Beaverdam Creek about 1/2 due south of where the Buelah Cemetery is locate was passed onto son George Ogline.

Inscription

G. A. R. Plaque on grave is from son Solomon Ogline's military service during the Civil War. Son Solomon had died of typhoid fever while the Regiment was @ Aquia Creek, VA. Solomon's mother Elizabeth applied for and was awarded (as the soldier's mother) a military pension as compensation for her son's 1863 death while in military service.
