He served proudly under God and the American Flag in the United States Navy WW II.

Mr. Crain was the owner of Crain's Drive-In Agency at the National Stockyards, National City, IL. His business was cattle. He was a good and gentle Father.

On the day before his massive heart attack, I was proud to have given my Dad the opportunity to meet Ken Curtis aka Festus on Gunsmoke. His favorite.

For three weeks living next door I would go over on Saturday morning to have breakfast with him. For each visit I told him about a dream that I had. In this dream, I saw my Father on the couch dead from a heart attack, he would tell me not to worry.

On that eventful morning during the heatwave, he came home from buying new tires and sat down on the couch and told my Mother "I love you" then he was gone.

Met Festus 8th, Day of death August 9th, Birthday 15th, Burial 15th, Wedding Anniversary 17th
