Death of Mr. E. D. Finney.

After a severe illness of only a few days, Mr. E. D. Finney died at his home in this place, Friday morning last.
Mr. Finney was born in this county nearly fifty-three years ago, and spent the greater portion of his life in Chambers. In the war between the North and South, he donned a uniform of gray and made a brave soldier. For a good many years he merchandised in West Point and LaFayette. He was a member of the Methodist church, a clever citizen and left a wife and one daughter.
The funeral services were conducted at the residence Saturday afternoon at 4:30 by Rev. J. T. Morris, and his remains were laid to rest in the LaFayette Cemetery.
