H, 126th Pennsylvania Infantry, and honorably discharged with his company May 20, 1863. He also enlisted in Chambersburg September 1, 1864, mustered into federal service there September 3 as a private with Co. D, 209th Pennsylvania Infantry, and honorably discharged with his company May 31, 1865. His name was engraved in the Civil War Monument in Beatrice, Nebraska.
