"Funeral services for Oscar Trahan, 72, of Lake Charles were to be held at 9 a.m. today at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott. Burial will be in the church cemetery with the Melancon funeral home of Carencro in charge of arrangements.

Trahan died at 3:15 a.m. Sunday, (August 5, 1962) in Lake Charles.

He is survived by one son, Bienvenu Trahan of Vinton; five brothers, Octave and Adam Trahan, both of Lafayette, Honore Trahan of Scott, and Helairie Trahan and Leo Trahan, both of Carencro; two half-brothers, Albert Trahan of Scott and Philibert Trahan of Duson; five sisters, Mrs. John Comeaux of Carencro, Mrs. Joseph Comeaux of Lafayette, Mrs. Angelle Roger and Mrs. Adolph Brasseaux, both of Scott, and Mrs. Jean Guidry of Cankton; one grandchild and four great-grandchildren."
