Vincent T. MEADOWS, born June 4, 1804, Greene County, Georgia, died June 22, 1894, aged 90, near the county line of Macon and Taylor Counties, Georgia, is buried in the Martin D. Chapman family plot, Butler (Baptist) City Cemetery, also known as Butler Memorial Cemetery, Butler, Taylor County, Georgia.

"The remains of Mr. Vincent Meadows who died at his home near the line of Macon and Taylor Counties at about 5 o'clock on Friday morning last were interred in the cemetery in Butler on Saturday morning. Mr. Meadows was the father of Mrs. M. D. Chapman. He was 90 years and 20 days and for 70 years was a faithful and consistent member of the Missionary Baptist Church. He was loved by all who knew him and led a life well worth emulation." Butler Herald, Butler, Taylor Co., Ga., 26 June 1894.

He sold land in Marion County, Georgia, in 1874, negotiating several mortgages in his seventies, using the middle initial "T" in his signature, for transactions in Morgan County, Georgia.

iii. Mary Ann MEADOWS, born 12 January 1832, Taliaferro County, Georgia, died 2 August 1898, Taylor County, Georgia, married Martin D. CHAPMAN, born 26 September 1827, died 29 July 1910. Martin and Mary Ann are buried in the Butler City Cemetery, Butler, Taylor County, Georgia;

iv. Martha Frances MEADOWS, born 24 June 1834, died 20 February 1909, Mt. Pleasant, Titus County, Texas. She married circa 1852, Abner CHAPMAN, born 30 November 1833, died 8 July 1883, Mt. Pleasant. They are buried in Damascus Cemetery, Titus County. Abner and Martha lived in Titus County, in 1860 and 1870;

v. Susan Amanda MEADOWS, born 24 January 1836, died 1876, Titus County, Texas, married 20 August 1857, Marion County, Georgia, James N. CHAPMAN, born 1827, South Carolina, died 1866/67, Titus County. James N. CHAPMAN lived in Titus County, Texas, 1863–65. Susan evidently married second, to James MICHIE;
