Vincent T. MEADOWS, born June 4, 1804, Greene County, Georgia, died June 22, 1894, aged 90, near the county line of Macon and Taylor Counties, Georgia, is buried in the Martin D. Chapman family plot, Butler (Baptist) City Cemetery, also known as Butler Memorial Cemetery, Butler, Taylor County, Georgia.


"The remains of Mr. Vincent Meadows who died at his home near the line of Macon and Taylor Counties at about 5 o'clock on Friday morning last were interred in the cemetery in Butler on Saturday morning. Mr. Meadows was the father of Mrs. M. D. Chapman. He was 90 years and 20 days and for 70 years was a faithful and consistent member of the Missionary Baptist Church. He was loved by all who knew him and led a life well worth emulation." Butler Herald, Butler, Taylor Co., Ga., 26 June 1894.
