AGE: 62 BARNEGAT
Mrs. Agnes (Applegate) Weiss, 62, died on Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010 in peace at her brother's home while visiting family for the weekend.
Mrs. Weiss, daughter of Willard V. and Eleanor Applegate, was born in New Brunswick and lived most of her life in Monroe Township. She lived in Spotswood for seven years before returning to Monroe Township, and has resided in Barnegat since 2003.
She was a paralegal for Senator Lynch at his office in New Brunswick for 3 years and for multiple attorneys and doctors throughout the years, but dedicated most of her time to her family. She was a former president of the Monroe Township High School PTA and was a liaison for years for various committees within the Monroe Township School District.
Along with her parents, she is survived by her husband of 40 years, William Weiss of Barnegat; three sons, Ed Weiss and his wife Cathy of Clemmons, NC, Allen Weiss and his wife Nicole of Fleming Island, FL, and Anthony Weiss of South Plainfield; one daughter, Jennifer Rosso and her husband Will of Skillman; one brother, Bryant Applegate and his wife Lynn of Charles Town, WV; eight grandchildren, Maggie, Cole and Emily Weiss, Maddie, Lauren and Alex Weiss, Chloe Weiss, Mia Rosso; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral liturgy will begin at 10:15am at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Spotswood, followed by Interment in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick on Friday August 13, 2010. Visitation will be 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Thursday at M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555.
