Ellen Jane is the daughter of Zachariah "Rial" and Elizabeth "Betsey" Goodwin Bryant. She was the last child born to her parents. She grew up in Gibson County. She had 6 brothers and 3 sisters plus 1 half-sister. They are to my knowledge:

It is thought that Ellen's mother - Elizabeth "Betsey" Goodwin Bryant, died in childbirth with Ellen or shortly after from complications. Zachariah soon married Elizabeth A. Floyd on 9 Jan 1840. That's about 1-1/2 mo. after Ellen was born so Elizabeth Floyd Bryant was the only mother Ellen ever knew.
On 11 Dec 1856, she married Harris Bradford in Gibson County, TN. They had 3 boys and 2 girls and they are to my knowledge:
Nancy Elizabeth Bradford 1859 – 1940
James Zachariah Bradford 1866 – 1939
Mary Etta Bradford 1867 –
Thomas Harris Bradford 1873 – 1934
William J. Bradford 1878 –
Ellen and Harris lived their lives in Gibson County, TN, and are laid to rest here together. Harris preceded her in death by 15 years. She lived those years with her daughter Mary Etta Bradford Nelson. Ellen Jane is my 3rd GG aunt.
