GEORGE WASHINGTON SIRCY-(80) was born December 11, 1866 and departed this life May 26, 1947 makings his stay on earth 80 years, 5 months and 15 days. He was married Mary Catherine PULLEY November 4, 1888. To this union was born 7 children, one, Lena Pearl, died in infancy. Surviving children are: Luster, Chester and Elster Sircy, of Kempville: Earl Sircy of Madison, Bransford Sircy of Nashville and Mrs. Hershell (Vercie)DURHAM of Kempville. 25 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; one brother Jim Sircy and one sister, Ocia LANKFORD, of Kempville and a host of relatives and friends. His wife preceded
in death August 25, 1943. He professed faith in Christ January 1889 and lived a Christian life. He bore his
suffering with patients and often told his daughter-in-law he did not dread the crossing and only dreaded to leave his children, grandchildren and friends. Funeral service were conducted Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock at the Hickory
Grove Methodist by Bro J. L. Hale and Bro J. D. Dycus with graveyard near his home.
