Mr. Noel W. Baker

Noel Baker, 65 of Clover Bend, died Aug. 17, 2002, at his home, following a lengthy illness.

A farmer and Walnut Ridge businessman, he was the owner of Baker's Insurance Agency and retired manager of the Lawrence County Regional Water District. He was a former president of the Clover Bend School Board and served for several years on the Lawrence County Quorum Court, retiring this year. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Brumley Baker; three daughters, Melinda Badgley, Austin, Texas, Rebecca Warnick, Jonesboro, and Amelia Brister, Searcy; two brothers, Harold Baker, Walnut Ridge, and Gary Baker, North Little Rock; two sisters, Judy Barron, Flower Mound, Texas, and Jane Kelley, Benton; and six grandchildren.

Funeral will be this afternoon at 3 in the House-Gregg Chapel with Steve Warnick and Max Moore officiating. Burial will be in Strangers Home Cemetery, near Alicia, under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Wednesday from noon until time of the service.

Pallbearers will be Tom Baker, Larry Jones, Michael Baker, Dwight Baker, Joshua Warnick and Rodney Burke. Honorary pallbearers will be Lester Warnick, Dale Counts, Tom Brister, Alex Latham and Larry Corbett.
