Funeral Services for Widow of Early Day Rural Carrier Will Be Wednesday

Mrs. Ida May Wiggins, 83, widow of Henry A. Wiggins, early day rural carrier here, died at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Ammerman convalescent home, 525 West Chestnut Street.
She had made her home the last 2 1/2 years at the convalescent home and during that time had been in failing health. She suffered a paralytic stroke two weeks ago and another last Tuesday.
Mrs. Wiggins long had been a resident of this district, having come here as a child with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Milnes from Afton, Iowa, where she was born September 16, 1860. the family settled near Carthage and later moved in Sarcoxie Prairie. Mr. and Mrs. Wiggins were married in 1886 in Carthage by the Rev. Mr. Hughey.
Surviving Mrs. Wiggins are four sons;
John Wiggins, Kansas City
Ward Wiggins, Kingston, New York
George & Clyde Wiggins of Carthage
a daughter;
Mrs. Jennie Brueggremann of Carthage
a brother;
Frank Milnes, Tulsa, Oklahoma
four sisters;
Mrs. A. V. Rose
Mrs. James McMurtry and
Mrs. C. C. Sweet all of Carthage
Mrs. Letitia Oswald of Richmond, California
10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild
Mrs. Wiggins was a member of the Methodist Church, the Royal Neighbor Lodge and the Sunshine Society.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Knell service hiome with the Rev. Dr. W. G. Clinton and the Rev. R. H. Bodine pastor of the First Methodist Church in charge.
