DUGGER -- Alpha McCammon, 85, died at 6:45 a.m. Sunday in Rest Haven Nursing Home, Linton. She was born March 19, 1899, in Sullivan County to Frank and Lillie Thomas Crooks. Her husband, Herschel, died in 1954. Survivors include two daughters, Lucille Greer, Fort Thomas, Ky., and Cenophia Alumbaugh, Sullivan; one son, Frank, Dugger; one sister, Carrie Olson Sullivan; 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and 10 step-grandchildren. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday in Newkirk Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Powell officiating. Burial is in Center Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is after 4 p.m. today.
