He was born to his mother Lilly Belle Starr Lincicome and father the great white hunter, Edward Dewey Lincicome. Roland grew up in Shawnee during the Great Depression and served in the U.S. Army during WWII landing on the beaches of Normandy D-Day +4. He courageously fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a decorated war hero. After the war he married Reva Whisenhunt and raised three fine sons. Roland worked in the Shawnee area as a superintendent of construction erecting many buildings that stand to this day.
He was preceded in death by his wife; son, Timothy; sister, Jean Reynolds and brother, Sam Lincicome.
