Alpine Parents Of 14 Children To Observe Their Golden Wedding Day On Monday

WOODS CROSS, Nov. 26.--Honoring the golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Bair, a family dinner will be held Monday in Alpine, where the couple lived for many years. A reception for friends and neighbors will be held from 6 until 9 p.m.
The couple are pioneer Idaho homesteaders. They made their home in the Eagle Rock country near Idaho Falls, soon after their marriage in the Logan Temple, Nov. 28, 1888.
Later they moved to Alpine, where they lived until 15 years ago, when Mr. Bair went into the sheep business near Glenwood Springs, Colo. Recently they moved to Woods Cross. In the winters they do temple work.
Mr. Bair was born in Eaton, O. Dec. 19, 1862. He has been active in Church work, filling a mission in the Western States.
A native of Woods Cross, Mrs Bair was born there Nov. 23, 1862 a daughter of Daniel and Melvina Moss. They are the parents of 14 children, eight of whom are living. They have 33 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Children who honored them were: Joseph L. Bair, Glascow Mont.; Eugene M. Bair, Woods Cross; Elmer O. Bair, Carbondale Colo.; Harold M. Bair, Alpine; Leila M. Bair, Salt Lake; Howard R. Bair, Leadville, Colo.; James Golden Bair, Glenwoods Springs; Elwood F, Bair, Carbondale.

Mrs. Eliza R. M. Bair L D S Worker Died Thursday

Mrs. Eliza Rushton Moss Bair, 71, wife of Joseph Elmer Bair of Woods Cross, died Thursday near 1:30 a. m. at her home of causes incident to age.

A daughter of Daniel and Melvina Rushton Moss, she was born November 23, 1871 at Woods Cross and was married to Mr. Bair on November 28, 1888 in the Logan L D S Temple.

Prominent in church circles during her married life she had served a number of years in the presidency of the Y M M I A organization and was a former member of the presidency of the Relief society at South Bountiful ward. Mrs. Bair was also an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Eutaw camp, at South Bountiful.

About one-half of her life was spent at Woods Cross. She and her husband went to Alpine, Utah in 1891, where they resided for 32 years. In 1933, they moved to Glenwood Springs, Colo., and lived there for three years, before returning to Woods Cross where she had since resided. Mrs. Bair was a mother of 14 sons and daughters.

Surviving are her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Leila Jensen of Woods Cross; seven sons, Joseph L. Bair of Alpine; Eugene Bair, Howard Bair, and Elwood F. Bair, all of Woods Cross; Elmer Bair, Harold Bair, and Golden Bair, all of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Melvina Jackson and Mrs. Leila Grant Eldredge of Woods Cross, and Mrs. Ida Hatch of Ruperb, Idaho; four brothers, J. H. Moss of Ogden, D. Ray moss of Salt Lake City, Dr. E. H. Moss of Woods Cross and Glen W. Moss of Centerville, 35 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p. m. at South Bountiful chapel by Bishop Walter Moss. Burial will be in Bountiful cemetery, directed by the Union Mortuary at Bountiful.
