He had been a farm hand from Georgia.

He was stationed with the 20th General Hospital in India. Became MIA
There is also a cenotaph for him in his hometown closer by his parents in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery of Clayton, Rabun County, Georgia, USA.
