Ella Mae Nix Wilson, 91 of Highlands passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022.
She was born June 16, 1931, in Rabun County, Ga to the late Frank Nix and Leona Reed Nix.
In addition to her parents, Ella Mae is deceased by her husband, Clarence Wilson; two sisters, Clara Owens and Louise Owens; four brothers, Claude Nix, Clyde Nix, George Nix, and Dewey Nix.
Left to cherish her memories are her children; Roger Lee Wilson (Anna), Edwin Wilson (Lisa), and Janice Allmond (Jimmy) all of Highlands; five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, July 18, 2022, at Clear Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Rusty Wolfrey, Rev. Mike Wilson, and Rev. Jim Kinard officiating. Burial will follow at the Clear Creek Church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Allmond, Jason Woods, Paul Bradham, Steve Nix, Charles Reed, Matthew Wilson, and Chris Fisher. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service at the church. Memorial donations can be made to the Clear Creek Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Joan Hicks or Roger Lee Wilson, 612 Wilson Gap Road, Highlands, NC 28741.
