LAURA LOCKHART
Laura F "Grandma" Lockhart, 92, of Mineral Wells, died in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital Tuesday evening.

She was born in Palestine, daughter of the late Otis V. and Isaphine Williamson Morehead. She was a member of the Pettyville United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, and Churchwomen United.

She is survived by three sons, the Rev. Donald L. Lockhart of Petersburg, Melvin E. 'Jake' Lockhart of Parkersburg and Beryl W. Lockhart of Mineral Wells; five daughters, Mildred L Wood and Orpha N Strimer of Parkersburg, Reta Irene Long and Ina B Long of Akron, Ohio, and Dorcas E Casto of Mineral Wells; two brothers, Homer Morehead of McMechen; three sisters, Della Taylor of Mineral Wells, Ora Taylor of Parkersburg and Dorcas Turner of Palestine; 32 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert V. "Roy" Lockhart in 1963.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Pettyville United Methodist Church, the Rev. Ernest F. Marty and the Rev. Paul Morrison officiating, with burial in Mayberry Cemetery in Wirt County.

Friends may call at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg after 7 p.m. today and at the church for an hour prior to the service.
