Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Shiloh Baptist Church for Ivan E. (Tony) Lockhart, 61, of Rt 2 Palestine, who died Monday night in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
The Rev. E J Roberts will officiate with burial to be in the church cemetery.
Born in Wirt County, a son of Mrs. Ora A Lockhart of Rt. 2, Palestine, and the late Charles W. Lockhart, he was a 21-year employee of the Parkersburg Feed Store and had spent the last few years on his farm in Wirt County. Mr. Lockhart was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his widow, Mrs. Ica Lockhart; two sons, Harold and Melvin Lockhart, both of Rt. 2, Palestine; one sister, Mrs. Edith Hall, Parkersburg, and six grandchildren.
Friends may call at the McCray funeral home until noon today, at which time the body will be taken to the late residence for visitation.
