MRS. MARY ORTH CALLED TO REWARD LAST NIGHT
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Orth, 71, wife of Philip Orth, residing at 1315 South B street, died at 11:10 o'clock last night, of infirmities of age, after an illness of about three weeks.
The daughter of Henry and Mary Neff, she was born in Campbell county, Kentucky, November 18, 1860.
On January 20, 1885, she was united in marriage to Philip Orth.
The family has resided in Elwood several years and is quite prominent. Mrs. Orth was a good Christian woman, a devoted mother and wife. She was a member of the St. Joseph's church and the Rosary society.
Surviving besides the husband are five children, George, Anna, Julia and John Orth, all of Elwood, and Henry Orth, of Grand Rapids, Mich., and two brothers, Henry and John Neff, both of Covington, Ky.
The body was removed to the Copher and Fesler funeral home and this evening will be taken to the family home.
Funeral services will be conducted at the St. Joseph's church Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock by the pastor, Father Biegel and burial will be made in the Catholic cemetery.
