Guardsman 17898 2nd Battalion Grenadier Guards. Killed in action, aged 28 years.

Son of Catherine Caveney. Lived at 3, Lawton's Yard, Falinge Road, Rochdale with his sister Mrs Mary A. Gerrity.

Enlisted at Rochdale in August 1914, went to France in May 1915. Twice wounded previously.

A card room jobber at State Mill, Rochdale.
