She and her late husband were owners of KYVA Motor Co., while living here. She was an active member of the Whitesburg United Methodist Church from 1927 to 1969 when she went to Louisville. She served the church in many capacties and her influence is still evident in the church today.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the Whaley Funeral Home in Cynthiana with the Rev. Wallace of the United Methodist Church officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. Rhodes Stipp, of the Graham Memorial Church in Whiteburg.
Among the survivors are Mrs. Russell Price, the daughter, of Whitesburg, two granddaughters, Annette Price and Mrs. Jeanie Kegan, Lexington and two sisters of Cynthiana. Those from Whitesburg attending the funeral service were Mr. and Mrs. Russell Price, Mrs. Lewis Ammerman, the sister-in-law and the Rev. Rhodes Stipp.
