Dies of Illness; Last
Rites Saturday

Gilbert Williams, eight-one years old, died at the home of his son, Frank Williams, 623 South Miller Street at 7:10 a.m. Thursday, death being due to uremic poisoning. Mr. Williams had been ill for four weeks.

He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Williams and was born in Brandywine township near this city, on February 17, 1857. He was married to Mary E. Sedgwick on December 11, 1879 and she preceded him in death on September 21, 1925.

Three sons survive. They are Frank, at whose home death occurred; Matthew of Brandywine township, and Moss of Addison township. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Susan Bass of Fairland; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Williams was a retired farmer. Funeral services will be conducted at the Brandywine M. E. Church, of which the deceased was a member, Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Rev. O.C. Carnes will officiate. Burial will be in Brandywine Cemetery in charge of Morris H. Sleeth, funeral director.

The body will be taken to the home of the son, Matthew, Brandywine township, where friends may call afternoon Friday.
