PIONEER CALLED TO GREAT BEYOND
Mrs. Malissa Fraker Died At Her Home In Fairland Monday Night
BORN IN BRANDYWINE TOWNSHIP
Had Always Lived In and Near Fairland
Funeral Services Wednesday
The sting of death, which has been felt in many Shelby county homes during the past few days, continues its work Monday and another of Brandywine township's most prominent and highly respected ladies was called to rest. Mrs. Malissa Fraker died at her home in that place Monday night about eleven-thirty o'clock. Death was due to a complication of diseases. Mrs. Fraker has been seriously ill for several weeks as readers of this paper will remember the announcements from time to time that appeared in regard to her condition. She was conscious of her surroundings to the last and her immediate relatives were present at the bedside when she passed to the great beyond.
The deceased was born and always lived in Brandywine township. She was about seventy years of age and had been a church member for over fifty-five years. Until eight years ago she and her husband lived on their farm in Brandywine township but owing to the advanced age of both, they moved to Fairland where they have since resided. Mrs. Fraker was a kind Christian hearted lady and bore the respect of everyone with whom she was acquainted. On account of the number of years that she lived in Fairland and its vicinity, she was known by almost every resident in that township. The deceased was married about fifty years ago to Anthony Fraker and to this union were born three children, who with the husband are the survivors. The names of the children are, Mrs. Florence Banks, of Fortsville, Clarence and Mrs. Fannie Imel. Clarence is the senior member of the firm Imel & Fraker, merchants of Fairland. The funeral services will be held in the Baptist church at Fairland Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, the Revs. Charles and Jones, of Franklin officiating. Funeral arrangements are in charge of Edwards and Hageman. (Buried Fairland Cemetery)
