Born in Anderson Co, Texas. Died in Gonzales, Texas.
Son of Benjamin Franklin Watts b. Marengo Co, Ga. and Martha Jane Kennedy Watts b. Miss.
Orphaned in 1879 after the death of his mother.
His father died in the Confederate Army in Lynchburg, Va. from Rubella Measles June 12, 1862.
He was 16 at the time of his mother and step-father W.W. Quarles death. He was living at his uncle A.E. "Gus" Kennedy, family and Grandmother Eliza Kennedy on the 1880 Census of Anderson Co, Elkhart, Texas. In 1879 his step- uncle C.M. Quarles became his guardian for monetary rights of the Estate of his father B.F. Watts and grandfather Rufus M. Watts
for "Willie" Watts.

There is a legal deed of land from the estate of Rufus M. Watts in 1883, bequeathing a certain amount of land to Georgia C. and her brother William F. Watts, children of his son Benjamin Franklin Watts. He called him "Frank Watts".
