Henry was the son of Henry Sr & Elizabeth Yocum Schell.
He was three years old when his parents homesteaded at the junction of Otter and Big Sugar Creek in 1845

Married to Mary Ann (Polly) Scott.

Father of Hannah Elizabeth, Malinda Caroline, Mahala Anna, James H, Mary Mervia & Frances D

He was in the Confederate Army.

He and Polly built and owned the village of Mountain Missouri.He also owned the general store, post office, Blacksmith shop and sawmill.He owned 400 acres of land.
