Agnes Kavan Dies Near North Bend
North Bend - Agnes Kavan died at her home one-half mile north of North Bend. She had undergone treatment for an illness for several weeks in an Omaha hospital, but returned home about three weeks prior to her death.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Kavan and was born February 10, 1898 at Linwood. The family moved to Dodge county when she was a child and lived for a few years in the Prairie View community. Later they bought what was formerly the Kimbrough acreage just north of the Rawhide creek on Highway 79 and that had been her home ever since.
Her mother died March 6, 1926, and her father on December 15, 1937. She is survived by one daughter, Bernice, now Mrs. Clarence Pavel and by a grandson, Gary Pavel. Also surviving are two half sisters, Mrs. Anna Maxwell of Lincoln and Mrs. Ross Mensik of North Bend and two half brothers, Charles and James Kavan of Linwood.
Funeral services conducted by Rev. B.A. Fillipi of Clakson were at the Sellhorn Funeral home.
