Funeral services for Mr. John Bolo were held from the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Richard Schoettler, in Orchard, Friday afternoon, May 4, 1945, conducted by Rev. A.M. Roos of Needville. Interment took place in the Orchard Cemetery. The Rosenberg Funeral Home of Rosenberg had charge of funeral arrangements. The following served as pallbearers, Albert Schoettler, Rudolph Schoettler, Roy Kachele, John Gajewsky, Charlie Mahler, and Henry Mahler.
Mr. Bolo passed away Wednesday, May 2, 1945, at the hospital in East Bernard following an illness of two weeks.
Mr. Bolo was born on June 26, 1859 in Hungary. He came to Fort Bend County in 1905 where he continued to live until his death. His life companion preceded him in death about eight years ago, since which time he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Richard Schoettler.
Deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Richard Schoettler and Mrs. Joe Hede, both of Orchard; two grandsons, Albert Schoettler of Houston, Rudolph Schoettler of Orchard; two granddaughters, Mrs. Roy Kachele of Wallis and Mrs. C.N. Hillis; and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Bolo was held in high esteem by a host of friends who will greatly miss him from the walks of life and who wish to extend sympathy to the bereaved loved ones.
