HOSPITAL PATIENT DIES OF INJURIES RECEIVED IN FALL –WILLIAM COCKRUM, 55, OF TURLOCK SUFFERS CRUSHED HEAD IN TWO STORY DROP –William C Cockrum, 55 of Turlock, died yesterday afternoon at the county hospital of injuries suffered that morning when he either fell or plunged from a second story window at the hospital, where he had been under treatment for some time. – Cockrum was in the last stages of tubercuiosis and it is not definitely know whether he committed suicide or fell out of the window during a mental relapse. –SKULL IS CRUSHED –Dr Fred Sutterlin of the county hospital staff said Cockrum suffered a crushed skull when he fell on the pavement. –Before his fall the patient had taken sheets from his bed,tied them together, one end around his neck and the other to the iron frame on the window. –Cockrum, a resident of Turlock for nineteen years, was a native of Bell County, Texas. Before his illness, he had been employed by the Pacific Gas and Electric Company for sixteen years. ---LEAVES WIDOW AND SON---Besides a widow, Mrs Gertie Cockrum of Turlock, he leaves a son, Carroll Cockrum of Oakland, a sister, Mrs R C Christmas of Turlock, and six brothers and five other sisters in Texas. ---Funeral services will be held in the J W Guy Chapel at Turlock tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock.
