Mrs. Zora Mae Bowling, 55, died yesterday at Walls Hospital following a short illness.
Born in Blytheville, she had lived in this area all her life. She was a member of the Armorel Baptist Church.
Services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Henry Applegate and Rev. W. J. Clayton will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Battles, Hermondale, Mo.; four sons, James Leonard Bowling and (stepson) J. Aubrey Bowling, both of Blytheville, (stepson) Elbert L. Bowling, Los Angeles, (stepson) John Evert Bowling, Caruthersville; three daughters, Mrs. Carl Otten, Wauconda, Illinois, Miss Janet Bowling, Blytheville, and (stepdaughter) Mrs. Paul Westbrook, Marietta, Ga.; five brothers, Elmer Battles, Russell Battles, Freddy Battles, all of Harmondale, J. T. Battles, Florida, and Raymond Battles, Moline, Illinois; one sister, Mrs. John Bass, Dudley, Mo.; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Shields Edwards, W. H. Stovall Jr., Thomas Kirk, Lymon Henson, F. W. Garrison and Mac Ray Jr.
