Wife of Pigeon England, a full-blood Cherokee Indian. They married in Delaware County, Oklahoma and Pigeon's cousin, Henry Scraper, was the minister who married the couple. Witnesses were Thomas E. Hyder and Elijah Scraper.

Lena died of severe necrotizing pancreatitis and congestive heart failure per her death certificate. Her place of birth in Siloam Springs came from Nichols Funeral Home records detailing the death of her son, Wash England. Her obituary in the Grove Sun newspaper however, said she was born in Indian Territory. Lena was a member of the Pentecostal Church. Her journal noted that she "...converted in the Pentacost Church October 1935 (and) was baptized September 30, 1938".
