Harvey Elam Dillon, 92, Sandyville, died April 16, 1994, at Jackson General Hospital. He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late Abner and Mary Jane Nally Dillon. He retired from Union Carbide, was a former employee with the state Department of Highways and had formerly done oil and gas work. He belonged to the Church of Christ, Sandyville. Surviving are a son, Howard "Ed" Dillon of Sandyville; eight daughters, Audrey Fisher of Ravenswood, Lalia Hoschar of Anchorage, Alaska, Coral Small of Long Bottom, Ohio, Barbara Slusher of Bellville, Ila Petty, Christine Lane and Gail Riffle, all of Sandyville, and Cheryl Pence of Millwood; a sister, Bessie Burch of Steubenville, Ohio; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Etta Morgan Dillon; three daughters, Linda Dillon, Edna Davis, and Mary Braniff; and two sons, David Dillon and Keith Dillon. Services were held Tuesday at Vail Funeral Home with Brother Denver Haught officiating. Burial was in Independence Cemetery, Sandyville
