Dott Wagstaff, 78, passed away on Tuesday morning, July 27, 2010 at her home surrounded by the love of God and her devoted family.

She was born in Charlotte on April 5, 1932 to Hoyle and Alta Killough.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Derland Brinkley Wagstaff, Sr.; her children, Derland Brinkley Wagstaff, Jr. and wife, Kathy, Debra Wagstaff Allcox and husband, Irvin, Russell Dale Wagstaff and wife, Bonnie; her grandchildren, Katie, Joe, Christina, Lauren, Meghan, and Mary-Russell; her great-granddaughter, Lila; her brother, John Thomas Killough and wife, Gayle.

Dot was a friend to all who knew her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She always had a twinkle in her eye and a good sense of humor to share. Her kind and sweet spirit will be with us always.

The family will receive friends at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 125 S. Selma Road, Wendell, NC 27591 on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with a service following at 3:00 p.m with Rev. Bruce W. Berry, Rev. Tom Watkins and Rev. John Causey officiating. Burial immediately following at Greenmount Cemetery, Industrial Drive, Wendell, NC.
