Josephine Ising was the daughter of Joseph M Ising 1816 and Catherine.
Her parents immigrated to Wisconsin from Germany about 1848. They lived in Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin when Josephine was born. They moved to Ridgeway, Iowa County, Wisconsin by 1860 and to Oshkosh, Winnebago County, Wisconsin by 1870.
There Josephine met and married Charles Edward Barnes in 1879.
The couple lived in Oshkosh until about 1905 when the moved to Weyauwega, Waupaca County, Wisconsin. By 1910 they moved to Las Animas County, Colorado, where they lived the rest of their lives.
They had six children: Wylie Leon 1879, Ida 1881-1890, Myrtle 1885-1890, Clyde Edward 1888, Mary Tracy "Molly" (Aloise) Degurse 1890, and Ira 1892.
Josephine Ising Barnes does not have a headstone, but the area in the cemetery where she as buried is known. Waiting for someone to take a picture of the area.
