THREE OAKS, June 16 -- Grave side services were scheduled to be held at 3 p.m. today in the Forest Lawn cemetery, Three Oaks, for Ira H. Barnes, 66, of Three Oaks, who died Sunday night in the Lee Memorial hospital, Dowagiac.
The Three Oaks American Legion will conduct military rites. Mr. Barnes, a veteran of World War I, was born Aug. 9, 1892. in Oshkosh, Wis., the son of Charles and Josephine Barnes. He married the former Florence McNeil, Oct. 11, 1929, in Chicago. She preceded him In death in 1955.
Mr. Barnes Is survived by three sons, Lloyd, of Dowagiac, Ira H. Barnes, Jr., of Chicago, and Henry Lee Barnes, of Michigan City, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Ruel, of Niles, and 12 grandchildren. " From The News-Palladium, June 16, 1959, page 10
