Bertha Ruth Dees, 87, of Hollandale will be at
3:30 p.m., Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Greenville
Cemetery.
She went to be with her lord and
Savior on July 23, 2010 at the home of Jamie
and Patti Stubbs in Raymond, Miss. Burial will
be under the direction of Boone-Wells Funeral
Home, Greenville.
She was a member of both Hollandale First
United Methodist Church and Anding Baptist
Church where she enjoyed serving her community
and her church. She loved helping others,
to give loving advice and adding a smile
to your face by suggesting to "Pray a little
harder to the Good Lord."
She is preceded in death by her husband
L.O. Dees, son Frank Dees, daughter Davida
Whitely and a great grandson, sisters Verda
Boyd and Dorothy Boyd Slade, brothers Clint
Boyd and Ernest Boyd.
She is survived by a daughter Verda Paucar
of Lietchfield, Ky., son Hosea (David) Kernan
of Louisiana, and brother John Frank Boyd of
Jackson, Miss.; fice granddaughters, and four
great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:30
p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Boone Chapel in Hollandale.
Officiating will be her nephew and pastor,
Bro. John Slade.
