Mrs. Virginia L Platt of Clarion died Saturday, April 26, 1986 at the Jefferson Manor Convalescent Home in Brookville.

She was the daughter of the late George Samuel and Fern (Lewis) Bashline and was born August 2, 1910 in Monroe Township.

She married John C. Platt in 1932. He died in 1974.

Mrs. Platt was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy at Clarion. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, George S. Platt of Lady Lake, Flordia; three daughters, Mrs. William (Gloria) Fagley of San Diego, California, Mrs. Melvin H (Glenda) Bowser of Clarion RD 1 and Mrs. Alan (Jeannie) VanWinkle of Niles, Ohio; three brothers, Duwayne Bashline of Clarion RD 1, Gerald Bashline of Clarion RD 2 and Arnold BAshline of Buffalo, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Masey of Titusville, Florida and Mrs. Edith Reedy of New Bethlehem; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a granddaughers, three brothers and four sisters.

Friends were received at the Robert V Burns Funeral Home in Clarion. Funeral services were held in the funeral home at 10 am Tuesday, April 29 with Rev. William Sedwick and Rev. David Selleck officiating.

Interment was in Cedarview Memorial Park.
