A very sad and fatal accident occurred to little Margaret Elvaretta Bashline, daughter of George S. and Fen Lewis Bashline, of Monroe Township, on Thursday, March 21. The little girl, while playing about the house, fell into a pan of hot water which the mother was using, and was badly scalded that she died at 1:05 p.m. Friday, March 22, 1918. Little Margaret was 1 year, 6 months, and 14 days old. The funeral was held on Sunday and interment was made in the Reidsburg cemetery, the services being conducted by Rev. R.L. Grainger.
