Lou was the daughter of Riley and Sarah (Newman)James. She married Forest Pyke on April 6, 1884 in Obion Co., TN. Sometimes the last name was spelled Pike. Children born to this union were: Otto, Goldie(male), Atta, Zoela, Forest, Clyde, Rolan, and Ruffus. Forest is said to have died about 1907. No record of death can be found as the court house burned, and all the records before 1910 were destroyed. Her siblings were: Matilda Paralee, John, William, Samuel, Arthera"Tera", Margaret Alice "Alice", Rufus, and Sallie James.
