William M. Johnson, a pioneer resident of the Kent section, died very suddenly while at church last Sunday, having been stricken just before the service started. He was a native of this county and was seventy-five years of age. Deceased was a brother of Ex-Sheriff A. J. Johnson, of Chester, and was a man who enjoyed the confidence and respect of his fellowman. The remains were laid to rest in the Little cemetery Monday, which is about three miles from Kent, many sorrowing relatives and friends attending. He leaves a wife and several children, the children all being of age, to mourn his demise.
