Irene Graf, 88, died Friday, July 23, 2010 at the Tri-Valley Health System Cambridge Manor. Irene was born in Antonino, Kansas on July 20, 1922, to George and Martha (Haas) Pfannenstiel.

Irene was united in marriage to Richard Graf on June 27, 1943. Richard and Irene farmed north of Holbrook until retirement.

Irene lived in Holbrook for several years before moving to Cambridge. After her husband's death, she attended and graduated from reflexology school in Denver, Colorado. Irene was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She enjoyed conversation around a cup of coffee. Irene was known for her wit and humor. She enjoyed bowling. She played the harmonica for the residents at the manor. Irene enjoyed driving her white Chevrolet around town.

She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1983; parents; sisters, Bertha, Euphercina, Evelyn, Pauline, and Thresa; and brothers, Melvin, Isidore, Wendlyn, Alfred and Joseph.

Irene is survived by sons, Leslie and wife, Nenita of Cambridge; Delbert and wife, Kathy of Columbus, Ohio; sister, Florence Chidester of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren, Danielle Jones, Richard and Jessica; and three great-grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives.
