John Golliher, a 45-year-old Murphysboro resident, died in the veterans hospital in Marion early Sunday morning following an illness of one year.

He was born in Murphysboro in 1909 and lived in the Murphysboro area all his life. He was employed as a hod carrier.

Golliher was married in 1943 to Imogene Reeder, who survives.

He also leaves three sisters, Sister Jeanne, St. Mary's Ironton, Mo., Sister Leo Marie. St. Mary's Infirmary, St. Louis, and Mrs, Richard Will of Murphysboro, four brothers, Patrick of Kansas City, Mo., Jerry of Murphysboro, George Thomas, with the U. S. Army in Ft. Sheridan, and Paul, with the U. S. Navy in Monterey, Calif., and the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Gollilier.

Three sisters preceded him in death.

Golliher was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Murphysboro, the American Legion. and the Hod Carriers union of the AFL.

Friends may call at the Meyer Denny Funeral Home in
Murphysboro until the hour of services Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the funeral home, the Rev. Father J. J. Taggart officiating.

Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Cemetery.
