Affectionately known as "Tiny" by her family and friends, she passed away Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. She was 70, a resident of French Settlement and a native of Walker. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home, Livingston, on Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until service at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Richard Wallace officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, French Settlement. Survived by her husband, Richard Murphy; sons, Lonnie and wife Michelle Watts, and Dale and wife Angie Watts; step-daughter, Chantal Whatley; sisters, Shirley and husband Jim Hicks, Ouida and husband Otis Watts, and Mary Bridges; brothers, Buddy Achord, and Rodney and wife Janet Achord; grandchildren, Hannah Watts, Maddie Watts, Ashley Dodd, Hunter Watts, Danielle Wilder and Roger Dale Whatley; and great-grandchildren, Reese Dodd and Jackie Wilder. Pallbearers will be Rodney Achord, Eddie Murphy, Greg Neal, Keith Neal, Dale Watts and Clay Bridges Jr. Preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Lena James Achord; former husband, Valmon "P.D." Watts; siblings, Evelyn Simoneaux, Marshall Achord and Lois Neal; and nephews, Mark Brian Achord and Gary Sims.
