Mrs. Bertha Piepenburg, 90, of North 49, West 6489 Westen Rd., Cedarburg, formerly of the Town of Rantoul, died Saturday at the home of a daughter following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Faith United Methodist Church, Brillion. the Rev. Robert Gossett will officiate and burial will be in E.U.B. Cemetery, Rantoul.
Mrs. Piepenburg, nee Bertha Reinke, was born Feb. 25, 1888, in the Town of Rockland, daughter of the late Albert and Wilhelmina Fischer Reinke. She was married to William Piepenburg May 26, 1909, in the Town of Rockland, and farmed in the Town of Rantoul their entire life. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Brillion. Mr. Piepenburg preceded her in death June 11, 1944.
Survivors include a son, Helmth Piepenburg of Sacramento, Calif., and a son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Elvira Piepenburg of Route 1, Reedsville: two daughters and sons-in-law, Elsie and Vincent Uselding of Cedarburg and Linda and Warren Ericksen of Antioch, Ill.; a step-daughter and step son-in-law, Erna and Clarence Bloecher and step-daughter, Mrs. Adeline Schubert of Port Washington; three sisters, Mrs. Leonara Maechtle of Port Washington and Mrs. Hertha Bartz and Mrs. Irene Krueger of Brillion; 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, five step grandchildren, nine step great grandchildren and 10 step great great grandchildren. A step son, a step daughter, four grandsons, a step grandson, four brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
Friends may call in Wieting Funeral Home, Brillion, after 4 o'clock this Monday afternoon until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and then in church from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
