George Donovan, who was stricken with paralysis last Tuesday morning passed way at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Anna Bishop, at Monrovia, Sunday. Mr. Donovan was born in Delaware, June 8, 1840. Thirty-five years ago he moved his family to Kansas and lived in and near Monrovia. He is survived by two daughters, Mr. Elizabeth Custer, of St. Joseph, Mo., and Mrs. Anna Bishop, of Monrovia, and two sons, Andy, of Monrovia, and James of Willis. He leaves 10 grandchildren, Andy Donovan, of Monrovia, is a brother, and there are three sisters living in Delaware. The funeral was from the M.E. Church at Monrovia, Monday, the Rev. O. J. McCulloh officiating. The burial was in the Monrovia cemetery by the side of his wife, who died in May, 1912.
