Donovan Rites At Monrovia
Andy Donovan, elderly Monrovia resident, died today at the Jefferson County Memorial hospital, Winchester, where he had been taken only hours before.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at the Monrovia Methodist church.

Andy Donovan Rites Tomorrow
Funeral services for Andy Donovan, 77, who died yesterday at the Jefferson Memorial hospital, Winchester, will be held at the Monrovia Methodist church at 2 p.m. tomorrow, the Rev. William Braker officiating. Pallbearers will be William Stutz, Reidel Stutz, William Sharp, Dick Royer, John Turner and Willis Bell. Burial will be in the Monrovia cemetery. The Stutz-Shiflett funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Aug. 7, 1883, at Batso, N. J., a son of George and Elizabeth Coleman Donovan and came to Kansas with his parents in 1889 settling near Highland. On Oct. 30, 1918, he married Miss Lula Chase in Atchison. They farmed near Monrovia for many years and later he was a carpenter and stone mason there.
He leaves his wife, two sons, Norman and Dale, Monrovia: two daughters, Mrs. David (Thelma) Sinclair, Morrill, and Mrs. Merle (Della) Mercer, Rushville; ten grandchildren and a brother, Jim Donovan, Whiting.
